National Parts and Products Pty Ltd (NPP) is to be established on the 1st May 2015 to conduct business in the sales of spare parts and equipment to the bus and coach air conditioning system industry. The business will operate out of a Melbourne/Geelong premises, in which it will hold stock of, and have at its disposal, both imported and local spare parts to suit all makes and models of the bus & coach air conditioning systems currently in operation within Australia.

The spare parts being offered will be both OEM parts from Europe, and North & Central Americas, as well as aftermarket parts mainly from China. All parts will be priced and marketed accordingly to them being original manufacturers, or aftermarket replacements. All parts will be suited to the makes and models of the air conditioning systems which are currently available, or were previously sold to the Australian and New Zealand Markets.

NPP will be focusing its sales to the Australian Bus & Coach Industry nationally. The spare parts sold will be shipped from Melbourne/Geelong to all parts of Australia. NPP will utilize a price structure to suit all areas of the market, including OEM, Trade and End User Operators. Discounts will also be considered for Bulk purchase, as well as early payment options. Freight companies will be utilized to ship goods based on method and price required by their customers.

As the NPP operation expands, so will the territories in which it sells will also expand. This will begin with the likes of New Zealand, and then move more up into South East Asia. With the likes of the internet in which NPP plans to utilize as one of its major marketing tools, it is possible that this expansion could take it to sales all around the world.

The National Parts and Product Group will be headed up by the appointed General Manger in Robert Chapman. Robert (Bob) has previously worked as the National Spare Parts Manager for TRACS (WA) Pty Ltd for the last 2 years. Bob was instrumental in doubling the TRACS Spare Parts Sales, and establishing many of TRACS new supply chain avenues. Bob has over 40 years steaming from operating his own Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Businesses, as well as managing different areas of some major international air conditioning and heating companies like Carrier, and Lennox.

Other direct members of the NPP Team, includes Robert O’Keefe and George Spiropoulos. Both have extensive years of experience in the Bus & Coach industry, and will increase their involvement, and input toward building the NPP business, as the company develops, and establishes itself as a leading spare parts and equipment supplier. Several of the other investors into the NPP operation will also provide valuable input as the company progresses. This will go towards building the companies profile and structure, as well as input towards the spare parts range and operations in the future.

As the business progresses, the plans will be for NPP to work towards obtaining the dealerships of some of the international transport air conditioning products currently being supplied to the bus and coach markets today. This is likely to include but not restricted to international brands like Mobile Climate Control (MCC), American Cooling Technologies (ACT), Pedro Sanz, ESPAR, Eberspaecher Mexico, Kaixue, and Gree.

Moving forward, National Parts and Products plan is to not only establish itself as a supplier of Air Conditioning Spare Parts and Equipment to the Bus and Coach industry, but to look at expanding out into other components for many of the makes and models of bus and coaches operating within Australia. This will likely include componentry and equipment that include the likes of Wheelchair Lifts, Restraints, Alternators and other engine parts. This expansion could also see the inclusion of body and chassis parts as the needs and wants of the bus and coach industry requests.

This expansion into other areas, will not just be restricted to the bus & coach industry, but any industry sector. The business platform which has been structured, will allow for NPP to develop and explore other markets, both local and overseas in order to ensure continued growth and expansion. This though will only occur once its backbone of Air Conditioning products is fully established, and supply lines secured with a strong customer base formed. It is also likely at this point, additional resources will be added to support this expansion.

This expansion into other markets will also allow for the changes to be made due to market shifts and troughs, allowing NPP to accommodate market trends and fluctuation adjustments. Having multiple markets to work with, will provide revenue streams from those other markets and segments which may be stronger and more fruitful during a particular season or economic climate.

Field Service Support will also be a likely expansion of the NPP Network, to provide their customers with on-site support and servicing of products. This servicing would not be restricted to just the products NPP sells, but all makes and models of those product segments which require field service to enhance their appeal. This again will be established as a separate segment of the NPP business, and additional resources will be utilized to accommodate the extra responsibilities.
